WHY JOIN JASAP

There are many associations in Jamaica, yet many of us do not belong to any because we feel that we are not “professional” enough to join or we can “get” nothing from joining. You are wrong! You should join as there are many advantages to being a part of an association.

Associations are formed for various reasons such as providing ongoing education and up-to-date information about a particular field, advancement in a field, providing networking opportunities with other persons who share the same interests and offering community service. These are advantages you cannot get by just networking within your company.

The Jamaica Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals (JASAP), the association for administrative professionals, offers these opportunities and much more. Membership is just $1,200.00 per year. How could you possibly use the excuse of not having money not to belong to an organization like JASAP? For this minimal amount of money you can develop professional contacts with other administrative professionals islandwide by meeting and sharing experiences that will be of mutual benefit, exchange ideas and gain insight into how others handle specific situations.

To enhance professional growth and leadership development, JASAP also offers conferences and seminars, monthly meetings, websites filled with information and access to professional publications.

Join JASAP today! Being a part of the association will open doors to new opportunities for you. You will acquire skills that will get you noticed in your company. JASAP will make a difference in your career. So get involved, attend meetings and, take advantage of the educations and networking opportunities. Please contact the Secretariat at 926-9742 today!

Recognizing the Secretary and Administrative Professional's position of trust, we resolve in all of our activities to be guided by the highest ideals for which the Jamaica Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals stands; to establish, practice and promote professionals standards, and to be ethical and understanding in all of our business associations.

We resolve to promote the interest of the business in which we are employed; to exemplify loyalty and conscientiousness at all times, and to maintain dignity and poise under all circumstances.

We further resolve to share knowledge; to encourage ambition and inspire hope, and to sustain faith, knowing that the eternal laws of God are the ultimate laws under which we may truly succeed.
